Novena Prayer to St. Joseph, Protector of the Innocents
(This novena is to be said for the nine days from December 19 until December 28, the Feast of the Holy Innocents)
O Holy St. Joseph, Foster Father of the Savior of the world! It was your obedience to the message of an angel in the middle of a dark night in Palestine that caused you to take action at a critical moment to save the life of the Christ Child. Your quick action made it possible for us all to “have life and have it to the full” (John 10:10).
Hear our prayer now as we intercede with you for a new class of innocents, the unborn children, who will be sacrificed needlessly and cruelly by abortion. Please save them from harm. Please give us strength of soul and firm conviction to turn away from all forms of sin and to treasure the sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death.
O St. Joseph, protector of the Innocents, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
Holy Mother Mary, intercede for us!
