EXTRAS

Arrival

During arrival I always have people signing people in.  If they are new I collect their name, email, school, and grade information.

Atmosphere

Bring an iPod and have a teenager fill it with music for you.  Have the music blaring.

Prizes

Everyone gets a name tag, puts their name in a jar to win a prize, and I go around talking to the teens.

Welcome

I usually ask them about their week, talk about upcoming activities, give agenda for the night, and open with a short little talk about a saint.

Arts and Crafts

Buy a large piece of canvas and paint to paint your youth group name and all the names of the teens.
“Youth Group Name”

Create posters filled with cut outs of pictures from the last 3 weeks of youth group.  These are great to put in the back of Church to attract more teens.
